But Diego Simeone’s side cannot rest on their laurels as they’ve blown hot and cold across five competitive road trips this season (W2, D2, L1), succumbing to a dreadful 3-0 defeat to Valencia on their most recent La Liga travel. And while they’ve failed to get on the scoresheet in two of their three away league games in 2023/24, ‘Los Colchoneros’ made history in the remaining one, putting seven goals past Rayo Vallecano in a memorable 7-0 triumph.
