New England Revolution and Chicago Fire are set to trade tackles at the Gillette Stadium in a potentially high-scoring Major League Soccer showdown.

It’s been a disastrous start to the new MLS season for the New England Revolution, as they commence the fifth round nailed to the bottom of the Eastern Conference after losing all four league games by a combined score of 10-3. As the only pointless franchise in the East, the Revs seek amends for a 2-1 loss to FC Cincinnati in their last home outing. The visitors’ defensive frailties have seen them concede 2+ goals in all four MLS games this season, including a 2-1 defeat at Columbus Crew on their last league travel. Indeed, Chicago’s travel sickness is long-standing. Stretching back to the previous campaign, they’ve only won one of their last nine MLS away fixtures (D2, L6), capitulating multiple times on six occasions!
