Frosinone vs Inter Milan

Newly-crowned Serie A champions Inter Milan head to Stadio Benito Stripe to take on relegation-threatened Frosinone.

Frosinone’s top-flight status is hanging by a thread after a scoreless draw at fellow relegation rivals Empoli last weekend left them only two points clear of 18th-placed Udinese despite stretching their unbeaten league run to six matches (W1, D5). With three games left, every point is crucial, yet losing all five previous top-flight H2Hs by an aggregate score of 13-1 suggests they’ll have to wait for a better opportunity to boost their survival hopes. Though Eusebio Di Francesco can take confidence from claiming a significant portion of their Serie A points at home (78%), their recent home showings paint a bleak picture. The Canaries have only won two of their last ten outings at Benito Stripe (D3, L5), with four of their five defeats in this sequence coming against current top-half sides.

On the other hand, Inter Milan gave up their hopes of hitting a 100-point landmark last weekend, slumping to a 1-0 defeat at second-from-bottom Sassuolo. After relinquishing a 28-game unbeaten league streak in their first scoreless away outing in Serie A since February 2023, Simone Inzaghi’s men are staring down the barrel of back-to-back league losses for the first time since April 2023. However, they’ve been superb in this match-up. Before a clear-cut 2-0 win in November’s reverse fixture, they had netted 3+ goals in three of their four previous top-flight encounters against Frosinone. But they’ve recently stuttered on the road, losing two of their last three competitive matches outside Giuseppe Meazza (W1) while conceding precisely one goal on two occasions.
