Adding to their underdog status here, non-league Chesterfield last faced Premier League opposition in the FA Cup in 1996-97, while they’ve never won an away game against a top-flight side in the competition’s history (GP – D3, L10). However, the ‘Spireites’ will draw confidence from their solid away form, having avoided defeat in their last seven competitive matches away from home (W5, D2), with each win in this run of games coming ‘to nil.’
